Elegant Evening

Good morning El Camino Family.

On behalf of the Alumni Association, I regret to inform you that Elegant Evening has been canceled due to low ticket sales.  For those that already paid for tickets, Karen (Derenzi) Guglielmoni, Class of 1985, will be contacting you to get your full refund.

We will continue to sell raffle tickets through the end of March.  Those of you that already bought tickets at the beginning of the school year will be included in the raffle.  Prizes include cash and items that were donated for auction.  Several student groups will be selling the raffle tickets or you can buy raffle tickets directly from the school at the main office.  The money spent on raffle tickets will go to the Alumni Association as well as to the groups that sell those tickets.  Money that the Alumni Association raises will go towards future projects at El Camino as well as student scholarships.

We appreciate your support for our students and school programs.  We recognize that Elegant Evening has run its course and the Alumni Association has already begun to look at alternative forms of fundraising events next year such as casual dinners (e.g., spaghetti feeds) at local venues that would significantly lower the ticket price point while providing popular entertainment, a great night out with other members of the community, and opportunities to raise money for projects and programs at ECHS that will benefit students and staff.

Thank you again for all that you do.

Sincerely,

Daniel Lunt, Principal
