StarVista’s  programs help people write their own success stories through counseling, prevention, early intervention, education, and residential programs. We also provide crisis intervention and suicide prevention services including a 24-hour suicide crisis hotline, an alcohol and drug helpline, and a parent support hotline.

1st Thursday of Every Month, 6:00pm-7:30pm

Youth (ages 10-14) Parents & Youth Welcome!

3rd Thursday of Every Month, 6:00-7:30pm

Workshops will cover: Warning Signs, Education Awareness of Substance Abuse, How to Talk to your Kids, Steps for Getting Help

Workshops will be held at the Palo Alto Family YMCA, located at 3412 Ross Road, Palo Alto, CA 94303

*Esther's Pledge is a prevention and education initiative established in honor of Esther Ting, a local woman who died from a drug overdose at age 19.

DALY CITY YOUTH HEALTH CENTER

Providing youth-friendly health services, counseling and education to the community

Provides confidential medical and mental health services to teens, as well as mentoring, wellness, and peer counseling programs.

What they do:

  • Offer comprehensive no/low cost health services to address both physical and mental well-being
  • Provide in-school health education, leadership training and mentoring programs
  • Serve teens and young adults ages 13-21 who live in Daly City, Pacifica, Brisbane, Colma, South San Francisco, and parts of San Bruno
  • Accept teens regardless of ability to pay and assist families with eligibility and enrollment for health insurance
  • Multilingual staff: Spanish, Tagalog, Mandarin

Youth Interventions & Treatment

Family Oasis

Family Therapy program for youth ages 12-20 that have substance abuse problems, behavioral and emotional difficulties or family conflicts. Program hours are 9am-6pm, Monday through Friday. Evening hours are also available. For an intake, call the office and ask for a counselor. Services are free to youth and their families who are residents of San Mateo County.
