Marlis Ringseis

Hello and Welcome!

I have been a teacher at El Camino High School since 2006, learning and growing with my students through my Culinary Arts and Foods courses.  I am excited to provide my students with the Computer Applications course which will give students the opportunity to earn free college units through the San Mateo Community College District.  In the past, I have also taught Interior Design 1 - 4, as well as Health and Career, and was the the Varsity Badminton coach at EC from 2010-2014.

I am originally from Redmond, Washington and moved to San Francisco in 2000 to finish my college education.  I graduated from San Francisco State University with a BA in Family and Consumer Sciences and a minor in Business.  I earned my teaching credential at CSU Sacramento, student teaching in Elk Grove USD and Folsom Cordova USD, and quickly moved back to San Francisco to be in the city I love with the one I love.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my growing family, Giants games, traveling, hiking, art and architecture, gaming, cooking, baking, and wandering the beautiful city of San Francisco.

I look forward to another exciting year!  Please don't hesitate to email me should you have any questions or concerns throughout the school year.
