Bio

Born in Los Angeles, CA.  She graduated from Santa Monica High School where she was awarded the United States National Art Award and a Malibu Art Association Scholarship. She received a BA in both Art Studio and in Art History at UC Santa Barbara.  She went on to San Francisco State University for her Single Subject Teacher Credential in Art.  She continues to take classes, attend workshops and conferences relating to art and art education.

Ms. Bowman has been teaching Ceramics at El Camino High School since 1998 and the Art Department Chair since 2001.  She has also taught at the San Francisco Art Institute in the Youth Arts Program and the Adult Continuing Education from 2001 to 2006.  She is a working artist that shows nationally.
