David Vinski

David Vinski (Mr. V)

Welcome to my profile!  I've been teaching at El Camino for the past eight years in the subject of social studies.  In that time I've taught four different subjects in that discipline:  Economics, Psychology, US History, and US Government.  When I'm not teaching, I'm still working with students.  I am currently both the Junior Class Advisor, Key Club Advisor, part-time Weight-Lifting Club Advisor, and Close Up teacher.

Originally I am from the Los Angeles area (boo!), but I've lived in the Bay Area since 1985 (yay!).  My education consists a bachelors degree from Stanford University, and I received my teaching credential from Notre Dame de Namur University.

In a word, I love teaching!  Okay, that's more than a word, but who's counting?  =)   I spend an enormous amount of time preparing for my classes, which, believe it or not, is a labor of love.  My goal is to have each of my students leave my classroom armed with the knowledge they need to lead successful, productive lives, and I really enjoy it when they come back to visit me after they've graduated.

I could say a lot more, but I'd rather meet you in person!  So feel free to come by and visit anytime (well, not anytime -- preferably before or after school).  I'm in room 14.

Go Colts!
