In Memory of Jane Porcelli
Jane Porcelli dedicated herself to our community for 22 years and she never wavered in her commitment to the students and staff of El Camino High School. We honor her memory and we will never forget all that she gave to our school and to the South San Francisco community. Jane, we love you and you will forever be missed. ECHS Dress CodeClothing worn to school should not be considered unsafe, indecent or disruptive to the educational process, and must be appropriate for school wear. Shoes must be worn at all times. Hats with sun protective brims may be worn outside only. Brim of hat must be worn properly. The following clothing is considered inappropriate to wear or possess at El Camino High School: Hats, hoods, hairnets, “Do Rags” and other types of head coverings; half shirts, “wifebeaters”, undershirts, tank tops, fishnets, mesh tops, and sagging pants. Shorts, skirts and dresses must be of appropriate length. Clothing and accessories with certain insignia such as alcohol advertising, marijuana leaves, gambling, identification with vulgar language, or the potential to be disruptive are not to be worn to school. Also, wearing clothing or accessories in such a manner as to be identified or associated with gangs or gang related activities is not allowed. Metal spikes, studs and chains (including wallet chains) are not appropriate attire for school. “Grills” are not to be worn at school. Acceptable hats worn inappropriately, hoods or head coverings that violate the dress code will be confiscated and disciplinary action will be taken. El Camino High School is not responsible for any lost, damaged or stolen confiscated hats or head coverings. Writings on bookbags, books, clothing or other items that identifies or affiliates students with gangs are prohibited. Wearing or possessing such clothing items or accessories will result in disciplinary action as follows:

Senior Project Panelists Needed!ECHS is currently seeking members of the community to serve as judges for the Senior Boards portion of the Senior Project. It is important to have community members involved; you serve as a "fresh face" to the students and provide an objective opinion. The deadline to participate is Monday, May 14th. Tutoring Available!If you are in need of a tutor for Math, Science, English or Foreign Language your Counselor can connect you with a student tutor. Student tutors are fellow El Camino students who have excelled in a particular subject and are available for private tutoring at the very reasonable cost of $10 per hour.
