ECHS would like to proudly announce that the Accrediting Commission for Schools, Western Association of Schools and Colleges has determined that El Camino High School meets the ACS WASC criteria for accreditation. It is decision of the Commission to grant ECHS a SIX-YEAR term of accreditation. Please click here to read the commendation letter.

El Camino senior, Patricia Anne Manubay, recently launched her service project, Dream Boxes, at the Jefferson Awards in New York City. Her project is designed to donate school supplies to children in need and encourage them to pursue their goals and dreams. Patricia was awarded by the Jefferson Awards for her service, and recognized by MTV News for creating such an amazing project. Patricia and her fellow Students in Action club members also took first place in the California region of the Jefferson Awards service leadership competition. They will be moving on to the national competition in Washington, DC this June. Great job, Patricia and SIA!
Red Cross Club
The Red Cross Club at ECHS initiated and headed by President Karina Dea (who was also recently selected as the Bay Area American Red Cross Youth Executive Board Chair), and supported by committed club members have been instrumental serving their community this year. While on Spring Break, beginning at 7:00 am this team distributed 150 Totes for Hope to those in need at the San Bruno Shelter and in Burlingame during the breakfast hour. They are to be honored for their service and all their dedicated efforts during the year planning, organizing, fundraising, collecting and donating food during the winter holidays conducting Health and Safety training and meeting with community members. “ECHS – “striving to make a difference” - these students have!
